Aeolian Mode in C

In music theory, the minor scale or Aeolian scale is one of the diatonic scales. It is made up of seven distinct notes, plus an eighth which duplicates the first an octave higher.

The simplest minor scale to write or play on the piano is A minor, the only major scale not to require sharps or flats, using only the white keys on the piano keyboard:

The aeolian mode is a diatonic scale so there are seven notes in the scale plus the octave note.
